fan won't shut off

my cooling fan won't shut off unless you get out and pull the relay. i've 
tried everything i can think of to remedy the problem, new relay, new fan 
switch, new thermostat, and tried the thermostatic switch located on the 
head; but the problem persists. so what am i missing? how do i fix this 
problem? tia
