OT but useful to list members/ SPAM???

That's exactly what they do.  Don't ever reply to a spam.  Don't even go
to their website.  See that 5 digit number many spams have in their
subject line?  It's used to monitor your email address, so if they see you
go to their webpage, the know you respond to spam, and you get EVEN MORE.
