Stuff I've been doing on the 81



- Swapped deep dish pulley from 65A to 90 amp Alt. Mounted it via
Scirocco Non A/C brackets and A2 A/C version bent adjustment arm.  

- Fabricated large gauge loom from Battery to Alt, back to starter.
(It's not an optimal path but the cable is more than large enough and it
was what I had available). Added provisions for 12v+ to forthcoming
Relay junction (Euro lights & existing Hella air horn).

- Freshened 10:1 GTI motor; inc. newer valve cover gasket, painted
assorted bits and pieces with Rustolium Hard Hat flat black paint (I'm
stealthy, even under the hood), newish clutch, swapped side outlet to
retrofit Mk1 coolant/heater hoses, broke bit removing stud in the
process, JB welded new stud hole in Aluminum Head (Cheap Assed Tosh'
soluton)*, left most seals alone because the motor will get pulled again
soon anyway.

- H&R cup kit awaiting Rabbit disassembly to provide strut housings.
(Want to paint them, etc.) Konis will migrate to Al's 78 Mk1, with new
bushings. (Shhh, don't tell him, it's a surprise.)

- Window tint for the two rear sides is awaiting the mech. work to
finalize, rear louver may well go on too, oh and new air dam is in the
shed, lonely as hell.

And, and reapplied for DSL- might be 3-10 working days.
