MFA gurus wanted

I wired in the MFA to the '81 16v, but the MPG and MPH do not show any
thoing other than 0.
There was a white wire loose on the harness, which I believe belongs to the
speed sensor. I have not found a mate for this as yet.
The red/black wire from the tach is also connected to the coil.
Any ideas why its not showing?
