yes.
in 85 they changed the outer CV flange tho. be careful. the old CV's bind
onthe new hubs.

 check the bentley it _is_ in the 16v version

It's the other way around, the newer 100mm 16V axles will bind in pre-'85 hub carriers.

Yes.

I ran the 90mm (8V) axles w/4spd on my '88 16V for a while...
