Quaife vs Peloquin (was: Peloquin shim kit question...)

Is it really that much of a night-and-day difference?

Is it really necessary to go with the Quaife for ~150 hp (crank) daily
driver? The cost of the Peloquin makes it an attractive option. How many of
you are using Quaifes or PQs?
