Will a little JB Weld help this??

i had something similar to this on my tranny after dropping a screw
(unnoticed) into the bellhousing (doh!). after getting a quote of $150 to
weld it, tried jb weld with a piece of aluminum over the hole. no leaks now
for 6 months. g/l,
