Mk1 tail lights: what are these?

yeah, those are later years mk1 golf tails that were only one euro cars as 
far as i know.  Im pretty sure they had the same ones as the cabbies here 
have on their early cars, then they switched to those.  If i ever have 
another rabbit, im putting those on it!
