this might be the last straw

The tensioners wear and cause it to jump time though.
And I thought they were interference heads, hence the extra chain
protection... maybe at high rpms?

Anywho, I'll offer $50.00

Um...the VR6 has a timing "CHAIN" (well, actually two)which basically never
beaks. Plus, the VR6 isn't an interference head. Basically the only way
you could have hurt the head is to break a valve spring or drop a valve
seat.

Have you actually seen the engine apart?

for the last couple years, i have been sinking a lot of time and money into
converting my '90 corrado g60 to a vr6 to a vr6 turbo. just when i finally
get the thing running close to right, the timing belt shreds at 90mph and
now my head looks like scramble eggs? i'm thinking it's time to sell. any
interest?
