Sticky tire recommendation?

I have had Yokohama AVS Intermediates and Yokohama A520's on my GTI for
about 3 years now.  Everyone says the A520's are better but I liked the
AVS's more.  They seemed to break away more predictably than the A520's.  I
must say it isn't a really good comparison because the AVS's I had were
205-50-15's and the A520's were 205-45-16's.  Just my two cents.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good wet/dry tire that would also
be suitable for autox once in a while?  One of the qualities I'm
looking for is resistance to "chunking"...  My friends' Falken (don't
remember model) tires chunked like crazy.  I don't mind giving up a bit
of traction for better durability.
