that darn springy door holder thingy



Sounds like it's time to get rid of the Reiger.  Tell you what.  I'll do you 
a favor and take it off your hands. I might even pay you a small fee for the 
remaining working parts.  I'll be driving through SC on Jan 4-5.  I'll pick 
it up then.

Sorry, couldn't help myself.  I also can't help with the problem.  Had that 
happen on my 86 8V, but a local VW expert fixed it for me.  I'll shut up 
now.
