The search on the Vortex is how I figured out a mint 83 GTI will be showed
alongside a new NA 20th anniversary GTI.
I actually think that sucks to have a rabbit badge on the new car. Its like
calling that other car a New Beetle. I guess I am just a purist anyway and
think they quit making GTIs in 92. Maybe calling the new ones GTL
(luxo/lardo) is more appropriate.
I usually dont go to see the VWs anyway I like to see the European racing
cars that usually show up. Everything from BTCC Volvos to Paris Dakkar
Mitsubishi baby suv things. A few years ago they had the 2 door WRX (RS body)
and an Evo VI painted with "Tommy" on the bonnet.
BTW I would rather buy a new STI than a R32.
I may have to bring a "tool" so I can be the first to have a MK4 rabbit badge
:)
