It's OK to ask.

I don't know of ONE 16v (Stock from the factory in a Mk2 Scirocco or
later) head that wasn't Hydro. As in they are ALL hydro.

There are some early ones, like Ottenger (sp?) 16v heads that may well
have been mech. but I'm not sure on that.
