brake caliper???
The 16v caliper has the ebrake cable on top. Maybe he sold you the wrong
side (upside down). Speaking of which, A1 (Scirocco 16v) calipers are
crap. You can put any A2 or A3 caliper on the car, but you will have to
buy the opposite side and mount it upside down. This works great, but you
have to let it hang upside down to bleed it before you mount it up. If you
don't have a pressure or a vacuum bleeder, just stick a piece of wood
between the pads to bleed the brakes. If you do go with an A2 or A3
caliper, do both sides.
