87 16-valve problems
I paid $1,000 for mine June of '00. Sounds like they
are in similar condition except mine had a rebuilt
transmission instead of suspension and fewer miles.
The guy I bought it from was asking $2,400 for the
car. Cash under his nose and the Force got the price
down.
The problems you describe are similar to the ones I
had to fight with. A tune up usually clears these
things out. And what someone else said about those
plastic clips at the base of the distributor is all
true.
