cooling gimmicks?
If WaterWetter causes more heat to be transferred INTO the water, then you
should see a RISE in the water temp.
(Especially since the sensor for our temp gages is in the block, not at the
outlet of the radiator.)
If it causes more heat to be transferred into AND out of the water, then you
should see little change in water temp (since it should be a 'wash') at
best, or another RISE in your coolant temp gage (since the sensor is in the
'heat-gathering' area; the engine)
The only way I can be convinced that WW does what the makers claim, would be
for the temp sensor to be in the outlet of the radiator and then for the
gage to read cooler. Until then, I remain skeptical.
(Okay, who has actually done a back-to-back experiment using both WW and
no-WW on the same day, same ambient temperatures, measuring actual head
temps (not water temps)? Let's not take advertising claims and "personal
endorsements" as truth here.)
