More street racing

Excweeze me? The 330i does 0-60 in 6.2s! The M3 does it in 5.4s! Shit,
even the base model 325i does it in around 7s!
I know there are fast ones and I have seen some nice

Of course -- some are faster than others. But the slowest car in the
lineup at the moment -- the 530i, still does 0-60 sub-8 seconds.
The only real "lame duck" BMW in the recent past was the 4-cylinder
318i/318Ti E36. 0-60s were around the 9-second mark, but a more realistic
"street start" was closer to 10s.
Like most German cars, they're high-rev screamers, so mating them to an
Automatic is an unfortunate move. They're generally geared very long, and
therefore can be sluggish off the line. But over 20-30mph? There is no
Accord (past or present) that will take a 5-speed 6-cylinder BMW E36 (1992)
or later...
