i'm about to start parting my 88 in earnest. questions for those who've done
it. i'm looking to take the whole suspension/brake assembly off, along with
wheels/tires. then what? i can put it on blocks, but anyone know how i can
get rid of the shell after that? stuff i still have, in case anyone's
interested:
suspension (stock rear sway, front low stress, brand new [<2k mi] control
arms/bushings/ball joints (may keep), h&r springs/bilsteins)-more info when
i pull it-see above problem.
brakes
dash-real nice, 1 small crack
engine electronics
body kit-stock silver
fuel stuff-distributor, intake boot, lines (i swiped injectors), pumps
distributor (good cond)
fuba
speakers, 4x6: 1pr kenwood, 1 pr boston acoustics
35x2 watt sony amp
radiator
90 amp alt
a/c stuff: everything works but condenser; small hole in exposed pipe, looks
like easy fix but i didn't bother.
power windows
power locks-stole pump for new car
g60 wheels w/ kick ass general brand rubber! center caps need paint,
otherwise 2 whls mild/mod scuffing
2.0L ENGINE: rebuilt last aug, probably ~3k mi on bottom end (argh!). head
is 2l with new tensioner, ALL new lifters ($$).
TT cat back: shop thought they were doing me a favor welding all
joints...dynomax muffler.
good ex manifold, stock d/p with new (<5k) universal TT high flow cat.
gone stuff: seats, ctr console, lights, probably keeping gauge cluster.
that's really about it. all glass good, car hit both fenders, hood, pass
quarter.
anyway, this is the preview sale. anybody want anything lmk and make offer,
knowing that it may be a couple of weeks till i strip the car. i'll post
prices in a couple of weeks, so if you don't feel like making an offer and
just need a price, wait till then.
