Sunroof Liner

I'm getting ready to do some much-needed maintenance on my sunroof.  I'd 
like to replace the liner while I'm at it.  I saw Patrick's write-up, but 
he didn't talk about what type of material he used.  Can I use 
vinyl?  White denim, maybe?  Obviously, I want something durable and easy 
to wash.
