that's what i did anyway. you really should get the system evacuated before
charging; may not be as good otherwise. replacing the drier seemed like a
poor man's vaccuum to me, that's why i did it. mark or potter have oem
driers for the same money as yer autozone ones. the conversion itself is
pretty straightforward.
