86 8v suspension/wheel bearings/ brakes...and a few more
this post of the day answered most of my questions, but I have a few more if
you guys have the time...
The right rear on my 87 8v seems to be royally pissed off at me for some
reason, the bearing went maybe 2500 miles after I redid the front (I guess
it's jelous) then the cylinder on the rear right brakes started leaking, which
I'm sure has soaked that set of pads...so my questions are:
1)Where do I find a cylinder? I've heard they are about 20 bucks but couldn't
find them at the usual source, do I try my FLAPS?
2)I know that the front wheel required an alignment after banging on it so
much, but will the rear require an alignment too after bearing anarchy?
and 3)
I don't think I'm gonna have the time to change the bearings out this weekend,
and I gotta go to boston, what's the word on after these things start making
that low whirring noise how much time I have until they frag?
Yes, I'm worried about the brakes, but carrying a little DOT4 and checking it
every 8 hours has produced desirable results (like STOPPING.)
Thanks all!
