I'm doing this now, actually. I picked up ABD's A-arm set at a local
dealer, and I'll be installing them possibly tomorrow on new A-arms (thanks
Potterman!), with new ball joints just installed moments ago. I also pulled
the rubber bushings from the arms tonight, c-clamp and a few sockets and they
came out.
It's four in the AM, and I'm building A-arms...

I want a solid feel and nice ride quality(who doesn't?), and I was wondering
if poly bushings, specifically putting a kit on the front A-arms, makes the
ride much harsher. I am also wondering where you get them? For $22 JC
Whitney sells Prothane brand A-arm kits for 80-84 Rabbits and a bunch of
other A1's but not one for the Scirocco. I would think these kits would work
anyway though(?) Where else could I pick up a set? Well thanks in advance-
