here's a new one on me!

my buddy calls me up today and tells me he's having problems with the lights 
on his rocco, so i agree to help him out. when he gets here and turns his 
headlights on, they start flashing like a cop cars headlights when they got 
the prusuit lights on. you know what i mean? both lows flash then the highs 
flash over and over, with the parking lights blinking in random patterns. 
wtf? i haven't ever seen nothing like this! any ideas? i gave it a quick 
once over and told him i'd get deeper into it tomorrow.
