Josh, why not drag race it once or twice just to see what you can do? You're
not going to toast a transmission or driveshafts in just a couple of runs.
And, even if you did that kind of repair expense is nothing compared to your
overall project. As our Canuck friends would say, "Come on; don't be a
hoser, eh?".
Personally, I think dragracing is fairly silly. But, it is pretty damned
neat to know exactly where you stand. Plus, it sure as hell is lots cheaper
than a dyno! Of course, backroad action/rally-type driving is my favorite,
autox is cool practice, and a day at the roadrace track would be dope on a
rope. Still, racing the 1/4 mile is still good entertainment. Hell, do it
*once* at least? :^)

and considering my car will never be used for drags, it makes it really
hard to compare 'em.

I know my car is a contender for "quickest" with a 13.8 being its best
until the CIS-e took a crap. Next week my carbs will be back from being
tuned on the engine dyno and the whole lump will be used in my rabbit until
the rocco is restored. I also have some 268s that were never in my motor
either. I am planning on making a september 8th appearance at our import day
and shooting for mid to low 13s.
