The guy who brought up the Sierra cosworth scoop got me reminiscing...
ever since before I could even drive, I've always been enamored with the =
two
racing stripe look on the late '60s Amercian muscle cars.
I've kinda wanted to do it to a Scirocco, but have always kinda felt that=
it
would look out of place and that it really only belongs on those American=
muscle cars. I'm normally pretty particular about trying to staying true =
to
the secular design trends of each type of car...
A not-so-good example would be like putting a type R sticker on a roc - i=
t's
just something you don't do...
What's everyone's take?

My son's Rabbit came to us sporting a very faded red paint job and two bi=
g
wide white stripes, also a big brush bar in place of the front bumper. It=
looked good actually,it needed about four of those big round rally lights=
on
the bar, but sort of a "serious abuse in the dirt" look. Not sure the mor=
e
slender Scirocco could carry it off. The rabbit's all one colour now, but=
still incredibly slow.
My take, do what you like, just be prepared to take the heat if it is
"unusual" looking.
