If you do it do a little research on the widths of the stripes before =
you put them on your car. I seem to remember that most cars that had =
them had different widths on the hood, roof and trunk. Not super =
different widths but maybe 1" to 1/2" here and there. As far as I'm =
concernedm if you can get it to look good then do it.
Also I would do it in 3M vinyl. That way if you don't like it you can =
take it off with a heat gun. You can buy a zillion different colors of =
it at your local art supply store.

Subject: somewhat OT - racing stripes poll
The guy who brought up the Sierra cosworth scoop got me reminiscing...
ever since before I could even drive, I've always been enamored with =
the two racing stripe look on the late '60s Amercian muscle cars.
I've kinda wanted to do it to a Scirocco, but have always kinda felt =
that it would look out of place and that it really only belongs on those =
American muscle cars. I'm normally pretty particular about trying to =
staying true to the secular design trends of each type of car...
A not-so-good example would be like putting a type R sticker on a roc =
- it's just something you don't do...
What's everyone's take?
