Check th coolant level in the plastic reservoir, if its OK, unplug the =
sensor on top of it, clean the contacts and plug back in. Turn ignition =
on, it should flash, start car, the light should go out. You said the =
gauge does not work either?
find the sensor it's located on the side of the head under the ignition =
distributor, its a single wire spade style connector.It's on 2:00 =
position relative to the water flange. Now there is a another sensor on =
10:00. that's a water temp too. It's not hooked up. Put the connector =
there and see if the gauge works, if not, it's time to get the =
instrument cluster out, most likely a break in the printed circuit board =
behind the cluster.
