Interesting, let's think...
When the car is in neutral, and clutch engaged (i.e. Pedal not pushed in)
the input shaft is spinning at engine speed, and the pinion shaft is
stationary (or proportional to the wheel speed). You say it does not buzz.
Disengage clutch, but still in neutral. Input shaft is still mostly spinning
at engine speed. You say it does not buzz.
Put into gear, clutch still disengaged. Input shaft is now stationary (or
matched to pinion shaft speed). Clutch disc is stationary, flywheel/pressure
plate are spinning at engine speed. Now it buzzes.
I forget everything that you said you did. How did the push rod look? If
that was bent a bit, then it would rub against the inside of the input shaft
whenever the clutch was disengaged, but car not moving while in gear.
Also did you adjust the clutch cable so that it fully disengages? I pull up
on the clutch lever and turn out the white plastic clutch cable end until it
takes up nearly all the play, leaving a little bit.
If the cluch is properly adjusted and you can't find any other problems, I'd
try this.
Put the front up on jack stands. Make sure both front wheels are off the
ground and that the rears are blocked, etc. Start the car in neutral,
disengage the clutch, and shift into gear. The wheels should spin, listen
for buzz. Try slowly engaging the clutch. Listen for buzz. Get two
assistants, have one step on the clutch (leaving in gear) while you an the
other hold the wheels stationary, listen for buzz.
If the buzz is gone when the clutch is engaged, you can try taking it for a
spin.
A drive will tell you more about the problem.
