Mine too, I used the coated green wire you use for chain link fences, and=
 made
a loop. My cable was shot too, had to get a new one. Pull the seat out of=
 the
car and you'll see how easy it is to do. The "seat restoration" was my fi=
rst (
of many ) repairs on this car.
