I would REALLY reccomend that you go with the tow dolly, or if you think
you can do it without damaging the bumper, and you want to save $$, go for a
tow bar.
Think about it this way, unless the truck box has some sort of attachment
points in the floor, you run the risk of having what, about 1800lb.s (?) in a
suden stop or collision either damaging your stuff, slamming out the rear
door, or into the truck cab. Sure, those last few sound a bit extreme, you
want to take that chance?
In any case, when I moved from the west to east coast, I had the 77 on a
dolly, not a single problem with the car along the way.
