Thats because he has a ton of pretty stuff glued to the car. :)

My 82 weighs 2380 with me in it. 
My 84 weighs 2320 with me in it. Dunno why the 84 (with a sunroof) weighs
less but, it does. The 82 is sunroofless yet bears a roll bar.
