2.0L blocks

Tonight I was talking with some guy about 2L blocks

I don't know if I believe what he says, but he told me an audi 2L block can
be used with a 16v head.........I don't see how that would work, well it
will fit together, but the compression ratio would be all wrong wouldn't it?
