Re: Update on BAR guage and oil pressure
The bypass valve in the filter bypasses the oil around the filter element
(presuming it's really clogged). It doesn't bypass it out of the pressurized
oil system. Since it can't bypass oil out of the system it can't reduce oil
pressure.
Look elsewhere.
