Good to know, especially since I don't have the money to replace the
clutch for a few more weeks!

That sounds like sage advice. I have always been fond of the idea of
a self adjusting cable, because it was one more thing I didn't have
to mess with. However, when I decided to get this car back on the
road, I knew I was going to have to take a more active role in
maintaining and modifying my car. So, it sounds like when I get the
clutch swapped, I should have them put in a standard cable.

And yes, after saying all that stuff about maintaining my own car, I
am still taking it to a shop to install the new clutch, because I
don't think I am up to mucking around with my transmission yet :-P
