RE: tranny choices? (and other related q's)
As some know, I have an FF in my Roc and LOVE IT. I swapped the flywheel and
CVs for the smaller counterparts and have had no problems thus far. If you
do a lot of daily driving on interstates, I'd do it. If it's strictly to be
a recreational car, leave the close-ratio in. It's really a matter of
purpose- that's to say, what you're going to be doing with the Roc.

Subject: tranny choices? (and other related q's)
Which tranny should I use for my 2.0L 16v I'm putting in my rabbit? I can
get an FF tranny for real cheap, would that be a good choice?
Which clutch would I use? I have a new in box 8v clutch in my garage that I
had from my old 88 golf, will that do me any good?
just curious, but will I have to change the hubs if I change from 90mm to
100mm axles?
Also, how can I tell if the flywheel is from an automatic or standard? I
got the engine out of the back seat of a rabbit at a wreckers, so I have no
clue what it is from and I assume I will have to change it if it's from
automatic.
TIA
Casey
