motronic "power stage"?

I was just reading the .org tech procedure, and it mentions that you would 
need the motronic "power stage" to convert Jetronic to Motronic.  What 
exactly is this?

Also, I was wondering if anyone had ever tried to rig a Jetronic idle 
stabilizer valve to work with motronic.  I figured it might be worth a shot 
since the motronic one is simpler than the jetronic one (2 wires as opposed 
to 3).  I'll check the bentley...

BTW, if you havent guessed it, I bought a motronic conversion. :)
