The original GMP front bar ran to the front and used flat stock to a 
large piece of angle iron.  2 7/8" exhaust clamp to front mount bracket.  
Was not really optimized for sid-to-side rigidity, but good starting 
point.

16V have larger hole for air intake that might contribute to earlier 
cracking?

BTW, TSR in the UK makes a A1 cable shifter bracket package for the o2A 
for 160 lbs.
