RE: kerosine cleanout?



humm I usually use STP Engine Flush myself, pour it in run engine for 30 
mins at idle, empty engine.. amazing amount of tiny cruds (carbon deposits) 
get removed... works well.

I've done it to an old Ford straight-six, but used one quart of diesel with
4 (or was it 3?) quarts of motor oil. Couldn't tell you if it helped (or
hurt).
  I wouldn't be comfortable putting straight diesel in any of my cars!

Now this has sparked my interest.  I'm very happy with my 1.8 since it
doesn't have the tap (today with 5-30w).  Have many people done this
"clean out" before?
