Re: ?? list not take forwards motor mount q from a2-16v guy
The outer shell is welded to a somewhat rectangular bracket. Pull off the
timing belt cover to get to two of the attachments. The other two are
immediately above and below the mount. The motor mount itself is pressed
into the bracket, but can be removed without too much trouble by assembling
a hacksaw with the blade inside the mount and cutting through the outside
of the mount ring. You can press the new mount in with a BIG vice or find
someone with a press.
Since you have to remove the timing belt cover, you might as well replace
the timing belt and tensioner while you're in there.
The drivers side mount is made the same way and probably needs replacing as
well.
(I just did my passenger mount and the belt yesterday )
