well, here's what I'd do:
-get another hard drive
-set jumper on *problem* drive to slave
-install new hard drive with Windoze OS
-boot system and see if you can read the problem drive

another alternative is to take it to a friend who is savvy with this stuff
and have them basically do the same thing I outlined (if you don't have a
spare HD and don't want to buy another one yet.)

If anyone knows alot about computers and can give advice i would be greatful
if you would contact me off the list.
My hard drive is making a funny noise and i cant get into safe mode or past
teh windows 98 screen.  If my hard drive is gone, then i lost all my
progress pics of my mk1 buildup and im gonna shoot myself in the head!
