RE: what should a fuel pump sound like?



eh I am not afraid of fixing anything on my car (have replaced ALOT
of parts since January (read 10K of parts).
So the 8v pre-pump (external) should make some kind of buzz/humm
noise then. Okay, mine make NO noise..
I will look into getting a new one and replace it see if it solves
my cold start problem (though I am pretty sure it is related to the
adjustment of the enrichment (co2) and a combination of 15 year old
fuel injectors (noep never got replaced) and possibly my pressure
control unit on the block (the car stalls on idle when cold but
only if temperature is above 15'c/65'F) if colder starts on second
turn of key and holds idle just fine, on Hot days (+ 70'F) it take
me holding the gas pedal down to hold idle until the o2 sensor
kicks in.

I think I shall change the pre-pump, the prep ump gas line valve,
get the co2 adjusted, the injection bowl adjusted (I know it is off
specs) and change the injectors and see what else could be in need,
My in tank pump is probably not at fault (will get it checked) and
My tanks has been cleansed about 2 months ago (emptied, and
pressure cleaned/tested), though the filter was not changed on the
pump. (perhaps need to change that too)

So much to do... so much time to achieve it...heheh
