If there is no mark shown on the flywheel (remember that you have 4 holes to
deal with for the dizzy for max adjustment) then the flywheel is installed
wrong and you will only be able to get the timing within a few degrees of
reality by looking at the timing belt cover.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I can see the marks (the notch and the 0) on the
flywheel just fine. The problem is there's supposed to be a pointer that
stays stationary as the flywheel turns. This pointer is what I should be
lining the notch on the flywheel up with. When I look through the viewing
hole (yes, I completely removed the entire plastic cap from the hole), I see
no pointer. So, how can I time this thing without a pointer?
