Re: RE: Dumb question about solid lifter heads



I don't know the science of it, nor did I ask.  Sorry, but I don't really have the answer for you. I do know that the engine reved easier.  As for more power, I don't think  it contributes to that, just simply that makes the engine rev easier.  In that regard, if you have a gig lift cam, it would allow you to get in the power band quicker.

Are you saying the valves resist the motion of the cam less if adjusted in
the way you outline, or do you actually get more power at x rpm?
