The night I drove my brand spankin' new '83 GTI home, I accidentally hit the
wiper switch.  Passenger side moved fine, driver side just sat there.. the
splines were completely stripped - right off the stealership lot!  One more
sign of the great quality that came out of the Westmoreland debacle.
