Nope.  Not gonna do it.

I'd been using that formula for about 8 years not realizing that it was fundamentally flawed in it's execution.  I always got the right results, but, if I'd taken the time to think back to my second year of college, I would have said, "Wait a minute...this formula is just screwy!"
