Suspension and bumpstops

I recently installed the neusped sport spring setup on my rocco and i wanted 
to know if the stock bump stops must be cut. I looked the bump stops and 
they seem to be holding the weight of the car instead of the springs doing 
the job also it is a little bouncy I do have the stock shocks.
