Re: suspension pros & cons
Adam,
I've always stayed with a very simple setup:
Neuspeed softsports + koni adjustables
I've used this same setup on 6 (yes, 6) sciroccos, all of them daily
drivers, in all sorts of areas (tampa, fl/orlando, fl/charleston, sc/kings
bay, ga/jacksonville, fl).
I usually keep the konis at 1/4 firm, but i drop to 1/8 firm, or full soft
for long highway trips.
I've pounded the living crap out of my konis over the years, moving them
from car to car. The last time i moved them, i noticed one of the fronts was
leaking a bit (very little). I've driven on it for 6 months so far since
finding the leak, and there is still no noticeable difference.
If you want to go a tab more budget, you could go with boge. I have boge and
neuspeed softsport on the wifes jetta and i'd say they are equivalent to
konis on the full soft setting.
