I actually talked to someone earlier this year after fathoming the idea of 
shipping a Rocc over here - he was importing a Ralley Golf with a 16v G60 - 
and the only way he could get it into the country was as a non-registered 
race only car that couldn't be used for more than 700 (I think it was 
hundred not thousand) miles a year.

Of course, if it's just the shell you're after ... ie no motor, then you 
wouldn't have a problem with importing it - or at least a lot less to haggle 
about. If you want the motor, maybe get it seperatly, then combine the shell 
and car later and see if you can get it registered - the VIN would be you're 
only setback, unless you plug it in from another car.

Anything's possible as long as you can circumvent the system.
