Idle problems

I have been having alot of trouble tryting to get my car to idle at 1000
rpms. it always wants to idle around 1800. when i start it cold it idles
fine. after it warms up i have this fast thing going on. if i rev it alittle
it will seem to stumble and then rev to 1800. (this is the scirocco) any of
you have any ideas what i might look for?
