Car alarms?

I'm getting to the point that my car is becoming desirable to at least break
in to. I'd like to deter at a least the less educated of the hoodlums, so
I'm going to get a car alarm...

Any recommendations on brand/type? I'm open to anything around $150 or less.
Preferably something I can pick-up in town or pay for via Paypal online (i.e
not Crutchfield if I can help it. Got no CC for regular online ordering).
